His Excellency, Senator Ibikunle Amosun CON, FCA has returned hope to the bank by enlisting it as part of the project to be resuscitated in his mission and agenda to rebuild the state. For the bank to be able to compete favorably with other rated financial institutions in the state and Nigeria at large, His Excellency approved the injection of N2.5billion into the bank in December 2014 to obtain its current license of a State Mortgage Bank, which is a phenomenon that brought about the recent changes in the status of the bank.
As part of Strategy to revitalize the bank, he appointed a new Managing Director in person of Mr. Olawale Osisanya in the month of October 2015, to redirect the course of the bank, and to ensure its compete favorably with Mortgage bank of its nature
Gateway Mortgage Bank is currently a member of Nigeria Mortgage Refinancing Company (NMRC), an association, where Mortgage Bank Refinancing Mortgage facility with for a cheaper interest rate and for a long term.
Gateway Mortgage was able to secure a National Housing Fund (NHF) loan in the tune of N160M for the allotees of Laderin Workers Estate and also some private individuals who applied for NHF through her.
Gateway Mortgage Bank successfully changed her name from Gateway Savings and Loans Limited in the Month of May 2017. This need arises because of the misconception of the members of the public to be a microfinance bank and also the approval of CBN for PMI to be PMB.
Gateway Mortgage Bank is among the few Mortgage Banks in Nigeria that issue their customers ATM Card and also render Mobile Internet services.

Gateway Mortgage Bank Limited is a Primary Mortgage Bank (PMB) fully owned by the Ogun State Government. It was established and licensed by Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in 2005 and commenced Mortgage business in February 2006 with RC: NO 625383. The Bank was subsequently accredited by Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN) to access National Housing Fund loan.
