PROFILE

Otunba Adewale Jubril is a versatile, multi-talented seasoned Banker and Chartered Stockbroker with a proven track record of success with over thirty years of cognate experience in these professions. He holds a Bachelors Degree in industrial Relations (1988) ands three Masters Degrees in Marketing (1993), International Law and diplomacy (1998) and Economics (1999) from University of Lagos respectively. He qualified as an authorized dealing clerk of The Nigerian Stock Exchange in 1992 and as a Chartered Stockbroker same year.

He has also contributed to the growth of Nigerian Capital Market both in Primary and Secondary Markets. He started his banking career as a National Youth Service Corp Member with Assurance Bank of Nigeria Limited, Minna in 1988 and later moved to People’s Bank of Nigeria as a Branch Manager in 1989. He later joined Equity Securities Limited as Manager Money/Capital in 1990 from where he left for Equator Finance and Securities Limited in 1993 as GM/CEO before leaving for Float Securities Limited in 1998 as GM/CEO. From Float Securities Limited, he joined African International Bank Limited as Senior Manager, Investment Corporate Banking in 2000 and was later posted to Branch Operations in 2003.

In 2004 he joined Hallmark Bank Plc as Manager/Group Head, Business Development and Corporate /Investment Banking leaving in 2007.
After leaving the banking industry, Otunba Wale Jubril joined Paints and Coasting Manufacturers Nigeria Plc. (A paint manufacturing company operating in the Oil and Gas Sector) as an Executive Director (Finance) in 2009 where he had ample opportunities to contribute to the Oil & Gas industry by providing leadership and coordination of the Company’s Financial Planning, Oil & Gas Projects Pricing and Negotiation. He was involved in the following Oil and Gas projects: Capital appraisal of Chevron Escravous Project – Warri; Escravous: Pricing and Negotiation – NLNG Carriers – Samsung: Pricing and Negotiation – Total (EGINA) – Samsung: Pricing and Negotiation – (Bonga South West): Drive Export of Coatings Paints to Korea – NLGN and Egina: Participation in the Annual Off-Shore Technology Conference (OTC) – Houston USA.

He also contributed to the financial sustainability in the company by establishing and implementing short and long-range departmental goals in the Financial Unit of the Company by settings the units’ objectives, policies and operating procedures: design, establish and maintain an organizational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish the department’s goals and objectives; serve on planning and policy-making in the Board; serve as primary legislatives liaison relative to company financial issues; represent the company externally on financial issues to media, government agencies, funding agencies and the general public; recruit, train, supervise and evaluate department staff before leaving the company in 2020.

He later joined Float Securities Limited in 2021 as the MD/CEO where he remained till date. He has also been on the Board of the FTN Cocoa Processors Plc as a Non-Executive Director from 2011 to date.

His professional qualification and affiliation include: Associate, Chartered Stockbrokers (ACS); Fellow, Chartered Stockbroker (FCS); Fellow, Institute of Credit Administration; Fellow, Institute of Credit Administration; Fellow, Institute of Chartered Economists of Nigeria; a duly Registered Capital Market Operator with Securities and Exchange Commission and the Nigeria Stock Exchange.

He has attended a lot of courses in the Finance and Investment Management and the Capital Market and he has also presented a lot of scholarly papers and research works in several seminars, training programmes and workshops in the industry.

Presently, he is an Independent Non-Executive Director of Gateway Mortgage Bank Limited.
