Dr Remilekun Bakare, the Group Managing Director of Gateway Holdings Ltd (the Investment company of Ogun State) has four decades of professional experience spanning Asset and Treasury Management, Stockbroking,Commercial & Investment Banking, Accounting Practice, Taxation,Consultancy and Academia.

He is a Fellow of The Association Of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA), The Chartered Institute Of Bankers of Nigeria (FCIB), The London Institute of Banking and Finance (FLIBF), The Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (FCTI), Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (FCS) and The Chartered Institute of Directors of Nigeria (FIOD).

Dr Bakare is an alumnus of Yaba College of Technology, Huddersfield Polytechnic, University of Lagos, Leeds Metropolitan University and University of Manchester. He has a Bachelors degree in Financial Services, Masters and Doctorate in Business Administration specialising in Finance, Accounting and Corporate Governance.

Prior to his appointment as the Group Managing Director of Gateway Holdings he was the Director-General of The Executive Business School and the Pioneer Registrar/Chief Executive Of the Chartered Institute Of Stockbrokers.

He was appointed as a Non Executive Director of Gateway Mortgage Bank Ltd in October 2023 representing the majority shareholder of the Bank,Gateway Holdings Ltd.
